As work on the AMU Fiber To The Home project continues, AMU is making customers aware of where contractors are installing fiber.

For the week of October 11, 2026, crews are in the following areas:

1. Southdale Addition

2. Country Club Area

3. Plum Creek Road

4. Highway 18 East to Spruce St., Roan St. to Finn Drive.

5. The area between State St. to McGregor St. and Lantry St. to Finn Drive

Fiber is more reliable and provides faster internet speeds and higher bandwidths with reduced latency (lag time).” Fiber makes it easier for AMU Internet customers to use internet-driven technology in their homes and businesses.
