The AMU Board of Trustees approved new water rates at their meeting on February 4, 2026. New water rates will go into effect with the March 31, 2026, billing statement. These rates reflect our commitment to maintaining and upgrading our water system, ensuring that all customers receive high-quality water and reliable fire protection services.

The average residential customer, using approximately 500 cubic feet of water per month, will see an increase of approximately $2.95 per month. This adjustment is necessary to support the continuous upgrades and maintenance required for our water system. While this might seem like a minor increase, it adds up to significant improvements in the infrastructure that delivers clean, safe water to your home and business. For nonresidential customers, the new rates will vary based on water usage and the size of the installed water meter.
